Hi! I'm Carolyn Hose, a board certified lactation consultant. I've been guiding families to experience breastfeeding and all things lactation as the nurturing, enjoyable and abundantly healthy way of feeding and caring for little ones for over 20 years professionally and many more years beyond as a volunteer breastfeeding counselor. Through being a mom who breastfed her own 3 children, a grandmom who has helped her own daughter breastfeed her 3 children, and by working with hundreds of families both in hospital and private practice, I understand how precious but also challenging this time in the life of a family can be. Whether your experiencing, painful latching, working to increase your milk supply, troubleshooting pumping (including proper flange fitting), or dealing with tongue tie issues, whatever your situation, I can work with you to help resolve these problems and develop a personalized care plan that helps you find the results you and your baby need and deserve. Your comfort and safety are my top priority so I offer the options of in home and virtual consultations (which includes telephone and email follow-up support). Let me bring convenience and peace of mind to you and help you and your baby find a path forward to breastfeeding success!
"Carolyn is professional, kind, caring, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. A few days after the birth of my first son, I was really struggling with breastfeeding. Breastfeeding was very painful to say the least. Carolyn helped to identify issues with the baby latching and was able to show me more comfortable positions for nursing. Since this was my first baby, I had no idea what was going on or really even how to breastfeed. I am so glad I was able to work with Carolyn because she helped me gain confidence with not only breastfeeding, but also with being a new mom. Carolyn helped me realize that breastfeeding takes patience and practice but once you get the hang of it, it truly is the most amazing experience a mother can share with her baby." - Amanda
